After we left the lavender farms and the fruit loop, we headed south towards Mt. Hood. This volcano is over 11,000 feet in elevation at its summit. Our plan was to go to Timberline Lodge (elevation 6000 ft) and ride the ski lifts to 9000 ft and enjoy some magnificent views.
