Here's my crazy roommate Kate. No, we weren't about to watch a 3-D movie. We were actually studying light spectra and used these glasses as well as a spectrometer in our experiment. Since we can't go to another planet to study the rocks there, we can use spectrometers to make inferences about their composition, as compared to Earth rocks.
