Heading south from Yachats, we drove along the coast to Cape Perpetua. Alice found a great trail from the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center that took us down to the water. We scrambled over the lava and explored the tide pools for a couple of hours, I think. It was AWESOME! This is a view showing both the fog (above) and the mist (below) as it moves into the area. The tide was coming back in, so the waves created quite a dramatic show for us. The lave reaches out in to the ocean with several "fingers", creating small inlets and multiple "wave crash zones". Outstanding!
