This is the view from the Crown Point and The Vista House. The octagonal structure (behind me) was built in 1916-1918. It was a resting point for the drivers of the Model T cars that traveled this historic and scenic highway. The point rises above the river 733 feet and offers views of 30 miles of the Columbia River.
