Fort Rock
This is an interesting volcanic formation called a Tuff Ring. We are in what was once a HUGE lake (or inland sea) at one time. When the lava came up through the water, it exploded (like at Hole in the Ground), but it didn't just explode once. It kept exploding, and volcanic rock began to build up and weld together, making a donut-shaped ring.
