Broken Top
Broken Top is one of MANY volcanoes we saw today. It's glacier-covered peaks are behind the lava flow in the foreground. Broken Top is "broken" because its massive glaciers eroded the peak, leaving it jagged and irregular-shaped. The lava in the foreground flowed from a cinder cone called Lava Butte on top of Newberry Shield Volcano.
